Perfect Fitting Underwear
Botanical Seminar.
The Hiibje t of the discussion at the
meeting of the botanical seminar last
week was the "Mutation Theory." pro
posed by Professor He Vries. a Eu
ropean botanist of considerable note
He holds that species arise suddenly
as "mutations," and not by small
hangoB. as held by Darwin, and has
attempted to sustain his lews by ex
periments In his garden Miss Hensell
gave a synopsis of this theory She
was- followed by Mrs Clements, who
pointed out some of the difficulties In
the theory, and last I)r Clements
came In with a sharp criticism of the
whole matter The result was that the
audience felt that the theory was
pretty well riddled at the hands of the
Bomlnar botanists
