which hcy discovered In Nebraska a
year o." two ago. It will be remembered
that PiofcBbov Metcalf worked out the
structure and classification of the bac
terium which produces this disease, and
presented it for his doctor's thesis In
February.

Journal of the 9th concerning Ward
Hlldreth, '95: "Ward Hlldreth of
Bloomlngton, Neb., a resident of Lin
coln, has gone to Chicago to assist in
organizing the Holsman Automobile
company of 153 LaSalle street, of
which ho Ib secretary and treasurer.
The company will engage in the manu
facture of automobiles under the new
Holsman patent, which is an Innova
tion in automobile building. Mr. Hll
dreth made his home in Lincoln from
1890 to 1900. Since 1900 he
haB engaged in the investment and
banking business in southern Nebraska."
