party last night.
Miss Farnsworth entertained the
members of the Medical Society at her
home, M2G R street, last evening. Re
freshments were served and a general
good time enjoyed.
Mrs. J. H. Auld has announced the
engagement of her daughter, Eola
Mae, to Mr. Hans Peter Peterson. The
wedding will be In the fall. Miss Auld
is a member of Delta Delta Delta and
Mr. Peterson Is a Sigma Chi.
The committee on arrangements for
company B hop on March 13 has been
announced. R. J. Mansfield Is chair
man and R. B. Davidson master of cer
emonies. Messrs. Monnan, Peers and
Campbell are on the committee.
The upper classmen of Delta Upsllon
gae a dinner party at the chapter
house Saturday night. Misses Shedd,
Auld. Whlttler. Brock, Mackin, Butler.
Tuttle, Chadwlck, Casebeer, Dellleker
and Archibald were entertained.
Messrs. Beghtol and Updike were also
guests.
Earle E. Farnsworth, '03. writes from
Ithica, N. Y., "I passed my mid-year
exams very well, and will graduate this
June by completing sixteen hours
more. I am getting into good physical
condition to play in the inter-collegiate
tournament tills spring."

The senior class met Wednesday to
transact some unfinished business. It
was decided that instead of invita
tions, commencement announcements
would bo issued by the class. Reports
were hoard from the chairmen of the
various committees and the editor of
the Senior Annual reported on the
progress made. The matter of the
Senior Prom came up for discussion
and it was decided that a ilnance com
mittee be appointed and that the class
receive GO per cent of the proceeds
and the chairman and the maBter of
Beta Theta Pi entertained F. W.
GunsauluB, the Charter Day orator, at
a reception and dinner Monday even
ing. Many of tne city alumni were
present to welcome the distinguished
guest, the occasion being tho largest
gathering of Betas since tho visit of
Judge Grosscup. Dr. Gunsaulus be
came a member of Beta Theta Pi at
Ohio Wesleyan University, a chapter
which has just passed its fiftieth birthday.
Miss Dorothy Griggs was married
Wednesday evening to Mr. Bertram!
Buckmnster of Tacoma, Wash. Miss
(Jriggs is a former student of the Uni
versity and a member of Kappa Kappa
Gamma. With the exception of the
members of the sorority, only a few
guests were present. Mr. and Mrs.
Buckmaster have departed 'for Tacoma,
where the groom is engaged in busi
ness. Alpha Theta Chi entertained last
evening at Walsh hall. Eddie Walt
furnished tho music and tho dancing
was enjoyed until a late hour. The
hall waa handsomely decorated with
pennants of tho various sororities of
the University and Alpha Theta Chi.
"Tommy" served punch between
dances. The chaperones were Judge
and Mrs. Itoscoe Pound and Dr. and
Mrs. Clements. Those present were:

The young ladles of Chi Omega were
formally initiated into tho mysteries of
the sorority Saturday night. Miss
Parker of Kansas was the Initiating
office Mrs. A. P. Metcalf accepted
the responsibilities of patroness. After
the initiation a banquet was served at
the Lincoln. The room was decorated
with tho sorority 'colors, cardinal and
Btraw, and tho table was covered with
white carnations and other floral offer
ings from friends. MIbs Helen Streeter
acted as toastmistress and called for
