Presbyterian Deception

years In Alaska and has returned to
the land of civilization, whoro he is
now engaged in redeeming some of the
desert of southern California by Irri
gation. He is at Imperila, near the
Mexican line.

asked to undertake the preparation of
a portion of the matter for the great
work to be known as "The Flora of
North America." The work is under
tuo charge of the foremost systematic
botanists of the country.
"Caldwell's Civil Government of Ne
braska" Is the appendix of the recent
ly published Nebraska edition of Peter
man's text-book on civil government.
Mr. Caldwell's work .is unique In the
method of procedure and follows an
altogether different line from most of

The receipts of the football season
at Harvard netted the Athletic associa
tion $38,000.
For the last few days school child
ren have been visiting the art exhibi
tion In large numbers. Wednesday
morning several hundred children took
in thlp pleasant and Instructive treat,
while their teachers carefully guarded
them and helped them to enjoy the
beauty of the pictures.
The presence of a flfteen-year-old
boy at the University of Michigan has
excited much comment. Though he is
under the age limit, he Insisted that
he be given the examinations, and not
only did he succeed in entering, but
had thirty-two hours' advance credit,
which is equivalent to one year's work.
The boy's homo is in Indianapolis, and
both his parents are Michigan gradu
