Notes of the Game. How did it happen to be such fine weather? It was colder In the grandstand than on the bleachers. The Northwestern line was easy even if the men are big. This ends a season unprecedented in Nebraska history. Fortune smiled upon Nebraska In one or two instances. One of the Chicago papers actually had a reporter in the press box. Where were the colors when the band marched around tho field. Tho grandstand crowd was handled the best since the stand's construction. "Chick" Shedd was warmly wel comed by his admirers as he rode onto tho field. It was discouraging for the men to lose by the umpire's decisions what they honestly gained. The hue of the Northwestern colors brightened up tho gridiron consider ably. And still some people, and even in the university, kicked on the price of admission. Wo wonder if tho man who swore so artistically learned it at tho Metho dist school. Coach Holilster wrh Hiirprlflod to hoc thnt there was as much civilization at tho university. The receipts were not as large as was expected. Indications pointed to an even larger crowd. This was for the most pnrt the far thest west tho members of the team had ever come. The man who owns tho building north of the gridiron earned a neat sum by renting out standing room The World-Herald hit the point when It stated tlmt Nebraska beat the Northwestern team and the umpire by 12 points. Suppose the Nebraska men had all been in condition to play the game. Where would the Northwestern team have been then. There was some difficulty in keeping certain persons in check during the game. Rooters will have to learn when to root and how to make others keep Bllont. We venture to assert that quicker work in construction lias never been witnessed in Nebraska than that done by the athletic board In building thoTTTeachers. Thanksgiving Scores.
