The Old Settlers Historical society
of Lancaster county, meets today at 10
o'clock In the historical society rooms.
The purpose of the meeting Is to con
sult and lay plans for the writing of
the history of Lancaster county.
Basket Ball at Academy.
The girls of the Llncbln Academy
have organized two teams and begun
basket ball practice. I ater in the year
they expect to schedule some games
with outside teams. Those taking part
are Misses Blanchard, Cameron, Edna
Baker, Ruth Baker, Heefer, Myer, Mor
rson. Hirst, Lyman, Maughlin, Stew
art and Johnson. Practice takes place
In the Y. W. C. A. gymnasium Mon
days and Thursdays from 4 to 0 o'clock,
and is in charge of Miss Dean.
Musical Program Yesterday.
There was a largo attendance at con
vocation yesterday, tho drawing card
being a musical program. All the num
bers were heartily applauded. The fol
lowing program was rendered:
