The question as to whether they should be worn or not has already been settled, and the conduct there fore, of the person Instrumental in working up a feeling against the movement is somewhat rebellious. It is exceedingly unfortunate that every class should be hampered by the pres ence of someone who is ready to bolt and to thwart every progressive move ment. Did the young man in ques tion have any scruples against this movement, it was not compulsory for him to obtain the cap and gown, and this ho could have done without any discredit to himself; but the fight which he has made on a movement well under way, is one which will not only tend to injure the good feeling in the class, but also reflect no honor upon himself. As one member of the faculty said he hoped that no member of the se nior class would throw himself in the way of so popular a custom as the wearing of caps and gowns. Miss Laura Stratton will entertain the members of the Pawnee club Wed nesday evening. The resident members of the class of '01 met on the campus Saturday afternoon.
