Hutchinson, '00, has been re-elected principal of the Albion high school for the coming year at an in crease of salary. The Plattsmouth high school takes all of its high school teachers, except the principal, from the University. Next year Miss Powell will teach math ematics, Miss Sprung, Latin and Ger man, Miss Montgomery, science, and Miss Wirt history and English. Of course you'll have to keep your room warm this winter. Arrangements are now about com plete for the Ivy day program which Is to be given by the senior class on Friday, May 23. The exercises will begin nt two o'clock sharp, and will last about an hour, so as not to Inter fere with the baseball game which will be held on that day. The program will be short, but full of Interest to every student In the Uni versity. The committee In charge have been laboring hard to prepare a program which will eclipse that of last year, and will be one long to be remembered. These will be a par tial holiday and the band will be out to make the program all the more attractive. The class poem and song will be given on this occasion. The Wy day address will be made by Fred K. Nielsen. The planting of the Ivy will he done by the president, and the trowel with which the planting Is done will be presented to President Black of the Junior class, who will make a response. In order to make the program of exceptional interest a number of amus ing features have been added. The distribution of the prizes which are to be given away, will be made by O. G. Home, who has considerable ability especially in making Bhort presenta tion speeches. The students in American history 18 are making fair progress in report ing their semester papers. About one half have now had the privilege of act ing professor. It. D. Kingsbury spent Saturday evening and Sunday at the Kappa Sig ma house.
