The thorough method of preparation for the contests and the logical arrangement of arguments have made the two teams Irresistible. Sue h work has never been done In the tin i veislty before. The sei ond of the home games to be played by the ball team will be played with Washburn college on the campus tomorrow afternoon. Nebraska has a winning team this year, as has been eidenced by the games already played, and It is only right that the university should show a sufficient appreciation of its work by a large attendance at the game. Minnesota's pride has been treated tt) a defeat, and there are more to fol low. The game tomorrow will be one of the best of the season. Washburn has a strong team and they mean to make the cornlniskers hustle. With the example before us of the results of the celebration Suturday night, the Dally wishes to throw out n suggestion to the Htudent body which is hoped will bear some fruit. It seems that this is an opportune time to call to the attention of the students the fact that we, In our position as stu dents, should set an example of con duct which will be worthy to be copied by all those who are willing to recog nize the university as a leader of men. As long as the celebrations of the students are conducted in a strictly gentlemanly way there will never be any occasion for the unfavorable com ment which haB been passed on the celebration of Saturday night. As long as the students keep within their own territory thoro would be no reason for "roasting" by those not connected with Sidles1 Sportinrj Goods Jodse Tennis, Base Ball and Gymnasium Goods. In the mat ter of the entrance of the boys in the hall down town while there was an enteitainment in progress the Dally lends its discouragement to these ways of showing enthusiasm As long as we do not trespass on the rights ol othris there will be no occasion foi any mi laorable comment In the matter of celebiat ions ol any kind lhen. affecting only the univer sity, would it not be the proper thing lor the students to confine their opera tions to the campus where it could be kept more exclusive, and which would allow of no objections on the pint of the i iliens of Lincoln? Dr. Frank Strong, formerly superin tendent of the Lincoln schools, was elected to the chancellorship of Kan sas university last week. Dr. Strong is well and tavorably known In Lin coln as a man well qualified for this position. Dr. Strong was called to Yale as a lecturer shortly after his leaving Lincoln, and later to the presi dency of the University of Oregon. His call to Kansas is another step forward.
