A chess tournament is being ar
ranged for some time in the future
between Stanford and California uni
versities. The sophomores of California are
laying plans for a Bophooinrc circus,
to raiso funds for the tracK team.
Michigan is agitating the question of
student and official support of the uni
versity band. Meetings to rouse en
thusiasm and support have been held
in order to preserve the band intact
and make it worthy of the Institution.
Yale won in the intercollegiate swim
ming championship matches between
that institution and Harvard, Columbia
, and Pennsylvania.
