At a special mooting or the Rides

TWO STUDENTS EXPELLED.
It is reported that two students
have been expelled from the univer
sity. The university authorities. will
give no details but admit that two
young men have been forced to leave
school. Tho names of tno students
aro withheld. Rumor has it that one
Of them wasround guilty of copying

student and pciSlslontly asserting
that thoy wore his own. Tho other is
said to havo fallen into ovll habits as
a result of bad associates.
The seniors of Michigan this year
will give a "smoker." Thoy profess
anti-coed sentiments and express their
ideas this way.
COLLEGE NOTES.
Cornell baseball practice began Oc
tober 21 on Percy field.
Cornell and. Princeton have the
only fooibull teams that havo not beon
scored against this year.
At a recent meeting of men from
nil classes at Cornell the custom of
undergraduate "rushes" was done
away with.
Fifty-five co-eds and seventy-six
young men have or will be initiated
into fraternities In Wisconsin this
fall.
FRESHMEN REGISTER.
Owing to tho confusion in tho
freshman class meetings resulting
from the impossibility of deciding
who woro freshmen and who wore
not, it was decided to have all fresh
men rcglstor. Tho registration was
made a condition to voting or taking
part In tho class meetings. All day
Friday at a table in tho lower hall
of the main building ono man was
kept busy receiving the names of
thoso who desired to vote in tho class
meetings. Registration will con
tinue today from .10 am., until 2:30
pm.
TRACK MEE POSTPONED.
The traok moot which was schedul
ed for 2 o'clock last Saturday, was
postponed until 4 pm. to-day. It will
be held on Nebraska Held. Admis
sion is free.
Tho State Historical Society have
received a very line collection of
Pawnee relics from .1. R. Coffin of
Genoa Neb.
A few new cases are to bo put into
the Historical library in a short time.
