lnfe up for but a single week the show
ing was as good as could be expected
when ond considers tho strength of tho
opposing eleven. Tho Osteopaths have
.a. .hard plunging backfleld which tore
our miniature defense to pieces ant!"
while our offense, though brilliant at
times, was not good for Btoady and
consistent gains. There was too
much wrangling and tho megaphone
rofctera mnde It Impossible to play the
fast ball that tho team has been show
ing up In practice. One thing I can
say with a good deal of satisfaction
and one that will be the best means
for our friends to get a lino on the
team, and that Is, that It Is bettor In
every way than that of last season and
with hard practice to be given during
tho next two we6ks I feel confident
that We will be able to make a most
gratifying showing against Minnesota.
Wo are Bomewhat handicapped this
year by tho lack of substitutes. Our
line-up here today Includes practically
the entire porsonnol of the team.
Whether iuiydMJjbJeone8jwlll be
made out of the material now "being
worked Into shape at the University Is
hard to tell, but tho outlook Is not
promising."

tho use of the libraries. Books are
numbered, but that does not Indicate
he position of tho book. They are
placed In their own subjective sections.
Libraries arc not conducted as for
merly and books are not placed In a
fixed location, but in regard to the
subjects. One should soon learn to
uso the catalogue flies. There are two
cases, one for authors, the other for
hsubjects. To find ajbook jone. can look
up the author or title, ho should look
.for reference on location chart and
then find the proper shelf and book.
