After the musical program refreshments and a general good time will be in order. A general admission fee of 25 cents will be charged. There have been several criminal cases on the book in Judge O'Brien's court this week. Nick Koppooh was charged with obtaining money under false pretenses, but explained the situation satisfactorily, and the case was discontinued by the county at torney. A very good time is reported. The Orpheus society gave their an nual Masquerade ball Monday even ing. A large number of the members and their friends en joyed the occasion and were there in costnmes of varied characters Dancing was indulged in until a late hour. The prizes were won by MrF. Gus Stephen and Miss Tony Brodfnebrer. Refreshments were served and an excellent time en joyed by all present. Saturday evening during the thunder storm, lightening got in some pecnliar work at the homo of Gus Zipper about 9 miles southeast of here in Polk coun ty. Gus, who is a bachelor, was enter taing some friends at his home und tvere setting around the stove, which the electrical ilued came down the stove. It ran up Gus Zippers legs, burning his underclothes and legs quite severely. John Zipper was badly burned also, but the most damage was done to Charlie Cotzel, a yonng mau who was present. His underclothing was bnrned from his legs and bfick, and himself severely burned. Cotzel was taken to the Co lumbus hospital Sunday where he now lies in a serious condition. The build ing was not damaged and no serious shock was felt. It was certainly a queer freak of lightning.- Silver Creek Sand. Herrick for baby go-carts.
