John Bernt, one of the old eettlers

last week at his borne eleven miles south

and came direct from there to Columbus
in 1873. He moved to the country where

again to hia country home about two
yeara ago. Mr. Bernt leaves besides bis
wife, five eons aad two daughters.
Funeral eervicee were held Wednesday
morning at 9 o'clock in the Andrea
Catholic church near his home, and
interment made in the near-by cemetery.

early Sunday morning. The origin of
the fire ia notknowa. Editor C. E. Wag
