aI have just recovered from a sec
ond attack of the grip this year," says
Mr. James O. Jones, publisher of the
Leader, Mexia, Texas. "In the latter
case I used Chamberlain's Cough Rem
edy, and I think with considerable suc
cess, only being in bed a little over two
days, against ten days for tho first at
tack. The second attack I am satisfied
would havo been equally as bad as the
first but for the use of this remedy, as I
had to go to bed in about six hours after
being 'struck' with it, while in the first
case I was able to attend to business
about two days before getting 'dowu.' "

We want every mother to know that
croup can be prevented. True croup
never appears without a warning. The
first symptom is hoarseness; then the
child appears to have tasen a cold or a
cold may have accompanied the hoarse
ness from tho start. After that a pe
culiar rough cough is developed, which
is followed by the croup. The time to
act is when the child first becomes
hoarse; a few doses of Chamberlain's
Cough Remedy will prevent the attack.
Even after a rough cough has appeared
the disease may be prevented by using
this remedy as directed. It has never
been known to fail. 25 cent, 50 cent

The handsomest lady in Columbus
remarked to a friend the other day that
she knew Kemp's Balsam for the throat

stopped her cough instantly when other
cough remedies had no effect whatever.

merits, any druggist will give you a

The population of Columbus is

one-half are troubled with some affec

complaints are, according to statistics,
more numerous than others. We would
advise all our readers not to neglect the
opportunity to call on their druggist
and get a bottle of Kemp's Balsam for
the throat and lungs. Trial size free.
