1 i MAIN COLLEGE BUILDINGS AND GKOUNDS Tho building is located on a beautiul campus of live acres just north of tho city and three fourths of a mile from the depot having good walks lead ing to it Tho ladies dormitory is on tho block adjoining tho campus The college building is built of brick and finished in poplar It has four iloors Tho first lloor contain1 tho Music rooms Shorthand and Typewriting rooms and rooms for a family Tho second floor contains tho presidents ollice sec retarys olljce four largo recitation rooms library and cloak room Tho third lloor contains tho chapol commercial room and a cloak room Tho chapel and commercial rooms arc connected with largo sliding doors Tho seating capac ity is 050 Tho fourth lloor contains six largo recitation rooms Tho entire four floors aro heated with steam The building is furnished throughout with appropriate furniture and apparatus Tho commercial room is 110 by f0 feet it is supplied with chairs and tables and surrounded with blackboards four foot wide The science room is arranged to meet tho demand for practical science teaching This room is supplied with the best of apparatus consisting 6f i full supply of anatomical charts philosophical apparatus chemical appar tus and chemicals skeleton geological specimens botanical specimens etc Students are given a thorough drill in tho use of apparatus in well lighted and healed with hot water The building is furnished throughout with new furniture There is no extra charge lo those who room in this building except 27 cents per week from the loth ol October until tho loth of April to pay for tho heating Students who room in oilier buildings buy tlioirowij fuel The gentlemens dormitory Gray Cottage and Nettleton Hall aro all on the adjoining blocks to the campus hi addition to those buildings there are a number of good private boarding houses within three blocks of the College Many of our best families take some boarders No one need lear that they cannot secure good accommodations Dormitory rooms are large and well lighted Two students occupy one room Each room has a closet and is furnished with stove table washsland howl pitcher lamp bed and bedding Everything is furnished except luel light and towels Eaeli student deposits 1 on taking a room this is returned when the key to the room is returned to the matron and breakage if any
