Wm Boches team attached to a
light wagon indulged in a spirited run
away down Fifth street this uoon It
was started from in front of the Pacific
hotel by the explosion of a fire cracker
which had been carelessly thrown down
in front of thom by some youth with
more firecrackers than discretion They
ran about threo miles in tho hot sun
and being large animals wore almost
killed by the violent exercise The
boys with their crackers are doing some
thing that will justify their use being
prohibited If they would fire them in
a vacant lot or where there are no teams
there would belittle objection but when
it comes to shooting them around on
the streets teams or no teams they can
accomplish more damage than all the
fireworks in town are worth

fourth agent desired to sell tho church

taken Mr Sturgeon won out by
getting 22 votes out of 34
