Latter Day Saints Gain Converts. Kansas City , April 13. Joseph Smith , president of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints , preached an Easter sermon at the church at Independence. Sev eral hundred persons were unable to gain admittance , and an overflow meeting was held. It was the great est religious meeting since the begin ning of the conferences. Negro Herb Doctor Indicted. Philadelphia , April 14. Mrs. Catha rine Danz and George Hossey , the negro - gro herb "doctor , " were held responsi ble by the coroner's jury for the death of the woman's husband , William J. Danz.
