It Is re ported here that the Union Pacific strike will probably be settled In a week or ten days , that a state official Is In receipt of a letter from President Burt , in which the official Intimated that ho would call for a conference with the atrlko leaders as soon as he could complete certain arraneements. No confirmation of the report can bo obtained , nor can any state official be found who has received tuch a let ter.
