fine style F dark mahogany pianofortes to our representa tive Mr C H JohnBon of Norfolk and he has mentioned your name as a possible customer explaining that you have unfortunately been interviewed by a good many piano salesman who have left a rather confused impression es pecially of our house in your mind so we tako the liberty of writing you We realize that our enormous success as piano makers siuce the establishment of our house by Jonas dicker ing in 1823 has caused many competitors to use every possiblo means to lessen in the esteem of their customers the value of our instruments Talcs of various kinds come to our ears from time to t me of the most extraordinary condi tions concerning our house which are so far from the truth as to be more nmueiug than any thing elte We realizo howover that many customers hearing these statements are some what confused and find it dlillcult to pick out the truth from the very large amount of poison ous piano information which is poured in upon them We shall be pleased should you care to write us to answer any questions which you may ask concerning our product but take this opportunity of saying that never in the course of our eoventy eight years of continuous manu facture have we made an instrument the equal of that we are producing today Wo should be glad to learn that you had examined carefully the two fine pianos we are just sending to Mr Johnson as they represent fully the superior qualities possessed by our pianofortes Yours very truly Cuichcbinq Sons FRIDAY FACTS Two Fremont children have died re cently of scarlet
