We desire to announce that we are not clos
ing out , but are still selling the very best goods
at reasonable prices.
Our line of John Deere Implements , Yelie
Buggies , Moline and Davenport Boiler Bearing
-Wagons and Samson Windmills is complete
and priced right.
We also have a large stock of lumber , lime ,
Wall Plaster , Cement , Brick , Sash , Doors , etc.
Is it not good policy to patronize a firm who
expects to continue in business and intends to
handle the same line of goods for years .to come.
We never advertise so-called bargains
because we have always had our goods priced
right.

At the State Farm.
After a trip in cold weather to
Lincoln we find a cheerful atmos
phere at the meetings. The at
tendance is large. The interest is
splendid. We enjoy hearing the j
groups of men whose faces and
hands show out door life and labor
talk alfalfa , corn , fruit and live
stock. No mistaking their calling
xor interest in the work. Bright ,
'healthy Nebraska boys , students
of agriculture , mingle with them
and take part in the discussions.
Tuesday was devoted to horses ,
fruit and corn. The speakers
were all Nebraska men. There is
to be § 250 cash prizes for best
acres of corn for 1912. We were
told that not more than one far
mer in one thousand knows how
to harness a horse. A buyer of
fered § 350 each for all the heavy
draft horses we could find for him.
We are raising the wrong kind he
told us. The exhibit of fruit
would do credit to any state. We
were told that the men who would
not read , study their business , or
attend meetings like these are * the
real problem in farm life.
Wednesday was the hog men's
day. The under current was co
operation and organization. The
agricultural interests are bigger
than railroading , mining or steel
interests , or bigger than any one
or the so called big businesses.
About 600 agricultural students
are here. It will keep our legis
lature thinking to keep pace with
this school for Nebraska young
people it is growing so rapidly.
It is believed that hog cholera can
be permanently prevented if prop
er precautions are taken.
Thursday was cattle day. The
sentiment was better stock , better
care , better men. Meetings were
enthusiastic. It was impressed
upon feeders that corn , alfalfa and
ensilage make the ideal ration to
fatten cattle. Younger cattle in
the feed lots , was the trend.
Prof. Hunt known to most of our
people made a splendid address.
We learned that the type of ani
mal that can make the cheapest
gain on a given amount of feed is
to be the standard. Prince ol
View Point , the best live steer in
the United States , had many ad
mirers in the audience.
Friday was devoted to general
addresses in the forenoon and
meetings of the various "breed as
sociations in the afternoon. All
departed determined to work for
better quality in their chosen lines.
There were many other meetings
in progress at the same time as
those v e attended. Special trains
will be run over all the roads in
the interests of agriculture. On
this train Prince of View Point ,
the pure blood Angus steer , now
champion of the world , will be
carried. We came home believ
ing more than ever in the possibil
ities and opportunities of Nebras
ka and Nebraska people , satisfied
to take up the daily routine of life
as it comes to us , and convinced
that we are engaged in the worlds
greatest industry whose future is
very bright.
