Rev. Jas. Busch , D. D. , Bishop of Lead , SD. . Every one of the children did their parts beautifully , and the Sisters and Brothers of the Mis sion deserve much credit for the talents displayed by the pupils. Bishop Busch made a short address * outlining the work of the Mission , but not attempting to enumerate all of the good it has done to the Sioux children , and in a few simple words to the Indians , interpreted by Father Westrop , asked them to send their children to the school where they would be well trained and taken care of. The Sioux ? s a nation are religious and it is said that they have never harmed a priest. Father Digmann also spoke to the Indians in their native tongue. After the program the work of the students was examined. L\ce , drawn and embroidery work by the girls , and tin and cabinet work by the boys , was excellent. The' composition papers by all the stud ents proved that they are master penman. Quite a few people went out from Valentine. Among them were Father Blaere , A. M. Morrissey , Harrison Davenport , F. M. Wai- cott and his mother and sister Mrs. Brown , Of. M. Gaskill , and Mrs. Christensen and party. Bishop Busch returned \ralentine with Mr. Morrissey. The following program was ren dered.
