Henry Carter died tit Cody last
Sunday and was taken back to his
old home at llushville ; 111. , by D.
C. Hindraan for burial. He was
past 90 years old and in failing
health the past winter.
Andrew Bowman and Marguer
ite E. Orr were married in Cody
Tuesday evening , March 28 , by
Ilev. Wells at the home of the
bride's parents. They will make
their home on the Metz ranch
north of Cody.
Rev. Dr. Caldwel ! has accepted
a call to Wakefield , where he and
his wife go tomorrow. It is in the
hope of the lower altitude benefit-
ting Mrs. Caklwell that induces
the change.Valentine people re
gret losing them.
E. W. Johnson brought in a
load of hay last Saturday and in
getting clown from the load step
ped off the double trees , slipped
and fell , striking his leg near the
hip on a jug and broke the bone
square off , also hurting his back.
He is at the place of his son-in-
law , Harry Landon , in town and
is suffering considerable pain.

goes by the name of R. E. Crooks , and the
deiendant , Agnes M. Brooks , wife of the de
fendant , Ernest R. Brooks , will lake notice
that oil the :50th : day of March , 1011 , Krotter
it Hull Lumber Company , the plaintiff , filed
a petition in the district court of Cherry
county , Nebraska , against the above named
defendants.
You will also take notice that the object
of the said petition is to foreclose a me
chanic's lean on lot 11 , block 2. located in
the town of Kilgore , Cherry comity , Ne
braska. That the said lien was duly record
ed in the ollice of the county clerk of said i
county on the 24th oj January , 1910. That
the said lien was to' secure payment for
building materials furnished to the said de
fendant , Ernest R. Brooks , and used iu the
erection of a building upon the said premis
es. That there is now due upon the said lien

prays for a decree of foreclosure , and a sale
of tne said premises to pay the sum due on
snid lien , and costs of this action.
