party of friends Wednesday , a very

Mr. Ellis Coder and daughter Fay ,
returned Tuesday from Omaha , where

the latter was having her eyes treat-
ed.
An unually large crowd attended
the Blind Boone concert , given in thi
hall Mondav night. The concert was
very good and appreciated ' by all.
Mr. M' . Isenhart. returned from
Omaha Sundav , where he was callei
on account of the illness ot his ne-
phew , Pierce Duncan , Peirce was
operated on Friday , and was getting
along nicely.
Elvira Tische entered school : Mon-
day. We have quite a large attend-
ance now and hope if there are more
children who intend coming to school ,
that they will enter at once as they :
will be behind their classes.
The eighth grade pupils of Mr.
Paine's room , have been' doing some
splendid work in history. They use <
the outline maps and put in the jour-
neys of each great discoverer and
explorer. Lelia Johnson , Haze l
Klingman and Charlotte Hanna hac
the best maps , while all the others ;
were very good also.

The following proposrd amendment to the
constitution of the State of Nebraska , as herein
after.set foith in fu'l is submitted to the elect :
ors of he State or Nebraska , to be Vi.ted upon
at the general election to be held T.-.esday , Nov-
ember StM. ! A. D. 1010.
"A JOINT KESOLUTIMN ) to amend Section
one (1) ( I of Article seven (7) ( of the Constitution of
the : Slate of Ne raska.
Be it Enacted by the gislature of the State
of Nebraska :
Section 1. ( Amendment Constitution pro )
posed. ) That : section one (1) ( of article ! seven (7) ( )
of the constitution of the state of Nebraska , the
senate concurring , be so amended as to read as
follows :
Section : 1. ( Who are electors. „ Every male
citizen of the United States , of the age of twenty
one years , who shall have been a resident of this
state six months next preceding the election and
of the county , precinct or ward , for the term
provided by law shall be an elector ; provided.
That person- ) of foreign birth who shall have de-
clared the'r Intention ! to become citizens com-
formably to the laws of the United States and
are voting at the t-iking ; euvct of this amend-
ment may continue to exercise the right of suff
rage un'h snch Unions they may htrcsldl'd
in the United ! Kites live years after which they
shall take out fu 1 citizenship papers to be enti
tled to vote at any succeeding electi ] in.
Section 2. ( Ballots ) That at. the general elec-
tion nineteen hundred and ten (1010) ! ) there shall
be submitted to the electors of the state for their
approval or rejection the foregoing proposed
amendment ! to the constitution relating to the
