The young ladies had a little
girls' dinner at the home of Miss
Leola West on Friday , March 11.

pretty child costumes were worn
on this occasion. Mush and milk
was served and a very pleasant
evening was spent.
Quite a commotion was stirred
up here on Tuesday of last week
when an inspector for the pure
food and drug department located
an agent of Loverin & Browne gf
Chicago Woodlake , who was
distributing goods which did not
come up to the standard under the
pure food laws. The inspector
seized quite a few samples of
goods and swore out a complaint
against the agent L. C. Thomp-
son , for not conforming with the

served the papers and Deputy

Tucker took the prisoner to Val-

I . inspector visited each store in .
town and made an inspection of I
them and passed her opinion that
they were complying strictly with
the pure food laws.
