Having received so many inquiries from Valentine and vicinity asking what progress our Company has been . making , we take this means of replying. , Since the organization of the United Wireless Tele- graph Co. , less than three years it has purchased all the patents and assets of all the Wireless Companies of the United States which they consider would be of any value to them in the future. We have erected and eqipped ov- er 100 powerful land and shore stations , extending on the Atlantic Gulf and Pacific coast from Boston , Mass. , to Nome , Alaska , which are in constant operation. We have installed our system on about 300 steam ships , from which 1and traveling public communicate with their friends and transact business th those on land , when hundreds of miles from shore. These land stations and wireless equipments on boats are owned by our cori1Pa.ny \ and operated by our operators , and from the sam6 our company at the present time has an income of over _ $80,000 a month. . ' We own and operate three large factories , one lo - cated at Seattle , Wash. , and two in Jersey City , where our wireless instruments are manufactured complete. This company has recently established an office in London , and is closing large contracts with foreign : steamship companies to install our wireless system on their boats. Arrangements are about completed for the I building of a factory in England , and ground has already I . been purchased and contracts let for the building of two . . . , new factories in the United States. ' Over sixty steamship companies now have all or a part of their boats equipped with the United Wireless , Telegraph , and are advertising this fact through the' I newspapers and their passenger folders , as they fully realize that the traveling public now hesitate to cross the water on a boat which is not equipped with the modern life-saving device. I On February 8 , 1909 , Roosevelt sent a message to ! ' congress urging the passage of a bill which will compel all ocean-going steamships carrying considerable number of passengers to be equipped with Wireless . Fourteen of our leading newspapers are equipped with United Wireless , among them are the Boston Her : I aId , New York American , Buffalo Evening News , To I I , ledo Blade , Chicago American , San Francisco Chronicle , Los Angejes Examiner , and they have found Wireless as a news gatherer as accurate as that of the old wire corn- i' - . . . . . - . - - t Sparks Items. 1 ; ( Last week's correspondence. ) I ' N. " Edison and other great electricians state that in their opinion all cables will be superseded by wireless in the near future. Wireless messages have recently been re- ceived ( by an experimental station ) in Omaha from our stations at Benton Harbor , Mich. : ; Port Arthur , Texas. , and Tampa , Florida , a distance of 2,500 miles. , The United Wireless Company is doing over 90 per cent of the Wireless commercial business of America. In fact there is 110 other wireless company doing a busi- ness . to any extent. . As o Yu ' revenue from a hundred boats and about 100 stations is nearly $1,000,000 per annum at present , all of which has been established in so short a time , you can easily estimate for yourself what it will be in the near future , when there are many thousands of boats and land stations in constant-operation , besides the revenuede - rived from the cable business , wireless on moving trains , wireless telephones , etc. It only needs to be added that a careful study of the situation justifies the conclusion that as one of the best . , safest , and most profitable investments to be found in the riioney markets of the world. The Company has master , . ed all the preliminary difficulties and obstacles , the ex- perimental stage ' has passed , consequently it is only nec- essary to build more stations , and equip more boats I which immediately commence to earn money rapidly. Bankers capitalists , shrewd business men , and the small investors are today buying the preferred treasury participating stock at $40 a share , which they could have bought about one year ago for $20 , and there is no doubt that others will wait another year and pay $100 or over and regret that they did not secure at least a few shares j i at-$40.
