school Monday aftejr an absence of
about a month.
The Woodlake Reading Circle
will hold its next meeting Satur-
day , Feb. , 12 at two p. m. All
teachers are cordially invited to

The attendance has been very
light the , past month , owing to the i
prevalence of scarlet fever in the i
adjoining towjis. However ; we
have escaped so far and many
students who left school on ac
count of the fever have ' again tak-
en up' their work.
Joseph Kounovsky entered the
9th , grade last week. While we
are glad to'have him with us , we
can but regret that he did not en-
roll at the beginning of the'term ,
as students who do not begin with
the class miss so much that would
be of value to'them. '
Monday , the teachers and pu-
pils enjoyed a visit from Co. Supt.
D. F. Story. His visit was rather
hurriprl as he left on the local for
Arabia , but , however , expressed
himself as well pleased with the.

got out to crank it but neglected
to throw it out , of gear first.When

rectly in front of the wheel which
