At present there are but , two such stations ; 3. , Forts Reno and j Keogh. ' - I t There are now fifteen cavalry ! ] regiments , requiring about 13,000 j horses. He is now at Nelson and praised that school very highl y. Of the equipment and manage- ment he spoke in. the. highest terms. He also told of an amus { amus- ing little talkHe ] had with a lady . at Nelson. While looking over - her fine lawn he saw almost in the center of the lawn a sickly looking soap weed. Wondering why she " cared for this ia such a tender way he asked her about it. ' "Why , that is a 'weeping bride' " she said. "We prize them very highly here. " And his sympathy at once went out to Cherry county where "weeping brides" are so - . plentiful. I . Burned to death in prairie : " : fire. T. J.
