Dave Fowler's second oldest son
was run over by a wagon load of
hay last week , both , wheels passing
over his body. The boy was on
the load , and , in reaching for the
lines to drive to another shock
broke the front standard and fell
to the doubletrees , where he held
on for awhile but , the horses be-
coming frightened started to run
and he was jarred loose. Both
wheels of the wide tire wagon
passed over his chest. Another
child was yet on the wagon and it
was a critical moment for the fath-
er. The team ran into a fence and
stopped. The boy was found to
be badly crushed and bruised but
is getting along pretty well.

The , .Sparks .Reunion "takes
place Friday and Saturday this
week and many of Valentine peo-
ple will go. The North Table peo
ple will go and there'll be lots of
people from down east. There'll
be a big crowd there and theJ" ' II
have a big time. The Sparks
people are a thrifty , independent
people , who take pains to make
everybody feel at home and you
know that they mean to entertain
you. They never have : asked any
other community to help them pay
the expenses of entertaining their :
friends. It is a whole- ouled hos-
pitality that pervades the Sparks
neighborhood that would not per-
mit of their asking or receiving
contributions from their friends
they entertain to defray the ex-
penses of their entertainment.
No , they .don't do it that way
down there. They ask you to I
come and enjoy yourselves , have i
a good time and they stand the
expense.
