: P.url Thompson , a young man
from Stanton , died Tuesday from
injuries sustained from a horse i i
falling with him , which he was
riding Sunday afternoon. He was
visiting at the Miller home on the
Smith place on North Table. Dr. I
Vanden of Crookston was consult-
ed and found his ankle bone brok-
en , his spine hurt and injured in-
ternally. The remains were ship-
ped to Stanton. His father is a
hotel proprietor at Stanton. ,

Rosebud , Pine Ridge and Cherry county horses must have been owned at their - - - -
respective homes for at least 60 days prior to day of race : '

In , the relay race cowboy saddles are to be used , each rider to have three horses . , '
in charge of one assistant , the rider to saddle , unsaddle , mount and dis-mount un- n '
assisted and to ride three } mile heats each day , the rider winning the greatest num
ber of -k mile heats during the three days to be declared the winner.
The entrance fee is 10 per cent of purse. Five to enter and three to start or
race will be declared off. Horses must be entered before 9 o'clock , p. m. the day ;
previous to each race.
