"Nerve Personified. "
/That is the way the Defiance
(0. ( ) Express characterizes the
new enterprise of the government
in printing return cards on envo-
lopes ' "free. " That paper says :
Many merchants have complain-
ed about mail order house compe-
I tition , but the operations of these
i houses dwindle in comparison to
what a printing office is up
against. The postoffice depart-
ment has not only distributed cir
culars and cards in every post
office , not only advising everyone
to buy stamped envelopes , but
agreeing to print a return card on .
lots of 500 or more. Not satisfied !
with this they are now sending out
circulars in government envelopes
on .which is printed in place of the
usual stamp "penalty for private
use to avoid payment of postage ,
$300. ; " .
Now , mind you , here is the I
great government of the United
States try to monopolize the enve
lope business of the country.
The name of every patron of the
post office is furnished free , the
letters are mailed free , the stamps
and envelopes cost nothing and
the people pay for the making of
the envelopes , the printing of the
circulars , etc. The only reason
we can see for this extra effort to
dispose of envelopes is that a com
pany in Dayton , 0. , has secured
the government contract and are
pushing the business at the ex-
pense j > . f the. government. The
people shouid know this'and every
senator a.nd representative in con-
gress'should take action in the
matter. . . . - Publishers Auxiliary.

Chief of Staff of Hot
Springs Doctors on
Annual Tour
AT DONOHER HOTEL JUNE I
He Will Make No Charge For
Consultation , or Tor Exam-
ination.
.
The Chief of Staff of the Hot
Spriugs Doctors is making his an-
nual tour of the state , visiting towns
and cities , calling on their patients
in each community , and consulting
with new patients who are desirous
the great treatment that cures all
chronic and nervous diseases of men
and women. The phenomenal suc-
cess of the Hot Springs treatmenl -
is due to the fact tbat it removes
from the patient's system the cause
of disease ; usually doctors treat the
symtons of the casi , instead of mak-
ing a complete diagnosis and then.
removing the cause as do these
specialists.
The human body has been the life
study of these noted specialists , their
skill in the matter of medical diag-
nosis puts them in the front ranks
of American Specialists. After they
make a painstaking examination
they are in a position to state posi-
tively whether or not a cure is pos-
sible ; if not they tell the patient so
and refuse to undertake : : a cure. If
they do undertake a cure the patient
is cured. They do this at extremely
reasonable cost , they ask no fee at all
until the patient is completely cured.
The highest standard of quality is
the only standard in the medicines
used by the Hot Springs Doctors.
These expensive medicines are espec
ially prepared ; ) 1 for each case , they
ar § from tje } world's best laboratory ,
guaranteed by the pure food laws ,
liminaling all possibility of anyone
taking into their system any poison-
ous drugs. A cure is sure and per-
manent as a result of taking the
world famous Hot Springs home
treatment. Chronic and nervous
disease lth@ } rheumatism > , asthma ,
bron@liit.i3 . , gojter { , diseases of the ,
heart , , blood - and lung diseases , ca
tarrh , gall stones , epilepsy kidney ,
stomach and bladder trouble , and
female diseases mu.st yield to the
treatment as given by these noted I
Specialists. In their Lincoln offices
are thousands of letters from peo "
pie who have been restored to health , ' : 1
In many instances these people
could not have been been cured were 1
it not for the Hot Springs treat-
ment. For example take the case
of Mrs. White who lives at Univer
sity Place , Neb. These Speoialisfes
macje a careful examination of her
case and found that she was cuff er-
ing from rheumatism , kidney and
stomach trouble. After taking
treatment , here is what she says in
her own words :
University Place , Neb. , April ,909. : \
Words almost fail me to tell how
thankful I am for renewed health and
strength after suffering" with stomach
trouble which eventually reached a
stage where I could scarcely : retain
food , and suffered great pain. To adxl
to my trouble I was also afflicted with
rheumatisn which swelled my feet
and hands so that I was hepless. ! I
tried several local doctors but their
treatment failed to give me any re-
lief. I : I : began to take the Hot Springs
Doctors treatment and commenced to 1
improve at once , and now at the end
of twelve months I am entirely re-
covered and feel as well as at anv
time of mv life. I am glad to recom-
mend the Hot Springs treatment for
what it has done for me , to any who
may be afflicted in the way 1 have
been. MRS. H. R. WHITE ,
.
Here is a testimonial letter from
Smith Center , Kansas , that is inter-
esting :
Smith Center , Kan , April 14 , ' 09.
Mrs Amis is getting along just fine ;
has not had any of her old dropsyical
trouble at all this year. It has been
just about one year since Kind Provi- 1
dence sent * you to Smith Center and .
we are certainly thankful for the help
you have rendered us. Wishing you
unbounded success , we are as ever ,
MR. AND MRS. S. L. A IIS.
The. treatment that ; has cured
these people and restored thousands
of others to health is available to
the people in this section for it is
this wonderful system of treatment (
-
that the Chief -of Staff of the Hot
Springs Doctors brings to us on
June 1 , at Donoher hotel.
As the Specialists will be here on-
ly one day , it is respectfully request-
ed that people do not call out of
idle curiosity. He will be busy with
patients who really need his services
and it would be an imposition to
take up his time idly. It is also
important to announce that married
women who wish to consult with -
the Chief of Staff must be accom-
panied by their husbands , and all
minors by their parents If you .
are _ suffering with any chronic or !
nervous disease and desire to be l.e- 1
stored to health , vigor and happi- j
ness , don't fail to call.
