The county commissioners desig
nated THE VALENTINE DEMOCRAT
as the paper in which the delinq
uent tax list for the year 1908 ,
I shall be printed and also the semi
annual statement of the county
treasurer.
All bids for furnishing station-
ry and supplies for the county
for the year 1909 as per advertise
ment were rejected and the officers
instructed to purchase same in
open market , except envelopes
and the officers are instructed to
purchase same from the govern
ment.
Claim of El L Heath of $329 20
for printing the delinquent tax
list for year 1908 laid over until
next meeting pending an investi
gation.
Whereupon the board adjourned

to order four statutes for the use
of the county statutes for year
190T.
The county clerk is ordered to
draw a warrant on the General
fund in the amount of $25 for the
Farmers Institute Association of
Merriman and also a warrant for
§ ? 5 for said institute at Valentine ,
same to be made payable to the
secretary's of the respective In
stitute associations.
The county clerk is allowed a
salary of § 400 per year as cWk of
the board of commissioners , a
deputy at a salary of $700 per an
num and extra help when required
at not to excepd $700 per year for
the year 1909.
The county superintendents
salary was fixed at $1000 for the
year 1909.
The poll tax of $2 50 assessed to
Geo. M. Ileth for the year 1908 ,
in Schlagel precinct is ordered
stricken from the tax list , he be
ing exempt.
