COMING
Everyone in the country will be
glad to hear that the big Buchanan
Bros , and Yankee Robinson com
bined railroad circus will visit this
city Tuesday , August 18. This show
io one of tbe largest in America and
is without question the peer of all
in the attraction line. The elephants -
phants , camels , tigers , lions , and
the various animals that make up
the menagerie , will all be here as
announced in the advertising.
' The shows travels in its own
special train. The train may trav
el in one section through this part
of the country where no particular
grades are encountered , but as a
general rule it travels in two sec
tions. The first section , known as
the flying squadron , carries the ani
mals and the tents to house them.
This first nectiori also carries the
cook department and commissary
supplies. The second section of the
show carries the "Big Show" out flit
and the stables and minor shows
with the circus. The first section
is scheduled to arrive here at four
o'clock in the morning on exhibition
day. The second section will arrive
three hours later , arriving 'here at
seven in the morning. It is stated
by representatives of the show that
owing to the fact of the little grades
between here and the last point of
exhibition that a double-header will
probably bring the whole show in
one long train. This has not been
definitely decided upon but is prob
able. In the later event the show
will arrive at 6 o'clock in the morn
ing and the unloading commenced
without delay the menagerie , cook
houses , stables and Fide shows will
be up before breakfast. Immediate
ly after the morning meal the work
of erecting the big tents for the big
show , together with the properties
for the big ads , will begin. This
work will be comeleted before ten
o'clock , giving ample time for the
getting ready of the street parade
which takes place promply at noon.
