The girls have begun to play croquet. . Their grounds are west of the school house. It is great sport. Miss Dunham says there are more little folks out of her room on account of sickness than at any other time this year. John Gould , our class president , missed school Tuesday , lie went to Merriman with the orchestra , returning yesterday morning. Margaret Haley of the 10th grade left a week ago Thursday rooming for O'Neill to have her teeth attended to and also to visit relatives. * Charles Lewis , a member of the class of ' 07 , has returned from Omaha , where he took a business course. He is now employed by Mr. Haley. Jn Miss Driscoll's room we saw a very pretty border of drawings drawn by the children. She re ports that several of her pupils are absent on account of sickness. Miss Gordon spent. Saturday and Sunday at her home in Hot Springs. The children in her room are interested in planting vegetable and flower seeds. Some of the little folks bring boxes from home to plant their seed in , besides having a share in two large boxes which Miss Gordon had made for the whole school.
