consisting of 1 red and white spotted cow , thin in flesh , choice milker and will bring
calf in spring ; 1 good red Durham cow , will bring calf in spring ; 1 coming
2-year old heifer with calf ; 2 heifer calves , 6 months old.
One black 4-year old cow , will bring calf in six weeks , good milch cow.
All of the above stock has hcd no giain this winter and are thin in flesh but healthy.

Elephant saloon to Clyde Childers
of Merriman who takes possession

Jack Bailey , formerly freight
conductor , and Mrs. Elsie Blue
have leased the Cody hotel from
S. A. Bryant and have also leased
the Commercial hotel for sleeping
rooms.-

One of John Singleton's boys
south west of Cody caused consider
able excitement one clay last week
by touching a match to a bunch

J. E. Allen called at our otlice
last Saturday while in town trans
acting business. Mr. Allen is the
youngest son of' the late W. J.
Allen who was well known to the
people of the east end of Cherry
county he having lived down the
river near the LSell bridge for
nearly a quarter of a century. He
left three sons , Wm. A.i the oldJ !

Edward , the youngest sou who re
mained at home and at present
lives near the old home on a home
stead , his mother making her
home with him. The oldest
} daughter was married to Albert
Haley , the Sparks' merchant , and
' the other to John lielenbolt.
