Frank Fischer , Jr. , is visiting
in Lincoln this week.

H. Buttinghaus was down from
his ranch near Kilgore the latter

Jake and Aetna Ereachbill of
Sparks brought a couple of loads
of corn to town Monday.
Mrs. Jordan of Arabia visited
at the home of J. T. Keeley in
this city the first of the week.
Chas. Breuklandor and wife are
the parents of a bright 10 pound
boy , born Sunday , March 10 , ' 07.
Charley Anderson has made
iome very neat improvements on

of a stable.
The Hanson hill road is being
widened and otherwise improved.
The road bed is being covered
with crushed rock.
Win. Bollwerk was down from
Nenzel last Friday. He made this
office a friendly call and subscribed

E. Searby of Crookston were in
Valentine the first of the week in
attendance at the revival meetings.

Girl Keeley is home from the
Fremont Normal , where he had
been taking a business course. He
will return next week to finish the
course.
Mrs. Elmore stopped in Valen
tine last Thursday while enroute
home from St. Joe , where she had
been.purchasing her spring mil
linery for her store at Gordon.
We enjoyed a pleasant visit
with A. G. Ward of Woodlake ,
Tuesday. He has been kept busy
feeding his cattle this winter as
his son is away teaching school.
C. F. Bowen , Wm. Ely and F.
A. Baldwin of Ainsworth were
transacting business in Valentine
Tuesday. Mr. Ely was formerly
county attorney of Brown county.
Mrs. B. F. Jeffers departed
from here Sunday night enroute
for Haigler , Neb. , stopping off at
Ainsworth where she will visit a
few days and thence to her new
home at Haigler.
J. 0. Beatty is contemplating a
trip to his old home in Iowa next
week. It is uncertain as yet
whether he will return or not , as
he is thinking of going into busi
ness for himself.
Thos. L. Tinkham , Jesse Mc-
Vey , Homer Sowle , Chas. Blakely
and A. G. Ward were in town
Tuesday on landoffice business. 1
They live near Marsh lake south
west of Woodlake.
The Houston revival services
are still in progress this week.
Quite a number have decided to
accept of the better way. A live
Christian lives. The meetings will
probably close next Sunday night.

watosa , Wis. Miss Seger is a
former teacher of this county and j

Murphy a few days ago from
Truscott , Tex. , where he's run
ning a store. Mr. Murphy form
erly lived in Cherry county and
has been down in the southern
country for about seven years.
Seth Ernst Gordon , who has
had charge of the music at the re
vival services at the M. E. church ,

morning to make" preparation for
his four months engagement in
revival work in California. Mr.
Gordon is a soloist of ability and
the future is full of promise for
him. He made many friends dur
ing his stay here.
A special religious service will
be held in the M. E. church next
