NO ONE SERIOUREY HURT A wreck occurred Tuesday about 2:30 : p. m. , at the mouth of the canyon south of the Niobrara bridge , piling up four box cars of No. 81 and causing a delay of sev eral hours. The wreckers from Longpine and Chadron cleaned up the wreck in a short time after their arrival. The cause is said to be undue ex pansion of the rails , as it was a hot day and , especially so in the mouth of the canyon. Possibly the breaks were set too suddenly on the engine or the cars in front , or not enough on the hind part of the train. There is a heavy down grade just before reaching the bridge across the Niobrara , and the train men are expected to bring their trains to a stop before cross ing the bridge. The stops are necessarily abrupt if not checked all" the way down the canyon. Beyond a severe jolting up no one was seriously hurt. Notes. Supt. Stockdale will go to Rush- ville to deliver an address before the teachers of Sheridan county on Saturday evening , Aug. 18th and return to Wisner on the 19th , where he has an engagement for one week's institute work.
