The Valentine Concert band furnished music for the Fourth of July celebration in Norfolk , and made good. Twenty-five of the boys , all neatly uniformed in red blouse and and white trousers , ar rived in the city Monday for the celebration and races , and they played hard all day long on the Fourth and until far into the eve ning. They are a good advertise ment for Valentine. The band is composed of gentlemen , through and through , and they are mu sicians , too. They spent today in Norfold and this afternoon tender ed a serenade to the Daily News which w.is composed of clever music , well executed.
