Hugh Williams and Mr. Mc-
Kenna , of Arabia , took in the
dance at Mr. Foster's Friday.
Mrs. Jacquains , returned from
Omaha last week , where she had
taken her daughter , who we un
derstand is improving rapidly.
Jake Breachbill has erected a
new horse corral out of wire net
ting , six foot high. Jake says no
more horses with wire scars for
him.
There will be a picnic celebra
tion at the old Kewanee grounds
on the 4th of July near John Shel-
bourn's. Come everybody and
have a good time.
Frank Grooms and Roy Kuskie
went to town Monday for lumber
' to make the new seats for the
church. They will be ready for
the coming of the young people of
NordeH next Sunday.
The dance at Mr. Foster's Fri
day night was fine. There were
36 numbers out and 20 young la
dies were present , besides several
married ladiej. Polen Bros , fur
nished the music and everyone
danced to their satisfaction.
Miss Laura Tillson closed a suc
cessful six-months term of school
; in the Kewanee district Friday
and the day was spent picnicking.
A good program was given by
the school and was followed by a
base ball game bet .veen Kewanee
f and Harmony. At the end of the
'J ninth inning the score was S to 8.
One more inning was played which
resulted in 6 runs for Kewanee
and and 1 for Harmony. A good
6 time was enjoyed by all and free
I ? ice cream was served.

Iowa , in 1851 , to Sarah E. Moore ,

girls , Thrte daughters and one

J- row never enter. He leaves a sor-
i rowing wife , three sons , five
I daughters and twenty-seven grand-
f children to mourn him. At home
f he is not forgotten. The children
