people to note the way in which our
lake is drying up. As a matter of fact
however , it Is not drying up at all but
has been drained by the railroad com
pany who have a pipe running into
the lake and an engine to pump it out
with. Don't say a word but let the
pood work go on.
The hay shipping business at this
point is assuming such proportions
that the F. E. & M. V. Co. cannot de
liver cars fast enough to haul it out
of town. If Mr , Carnegie only under
stood the hardship and difficulty with
which the Company is laboring in
order to maintain a train service
