Mrs Adam Bax who has been a resident of this city for
twenty years and lives at 1101 Rose street was one of Dr
Seymour s patients two years ago and says of him
Dr Seymour has certainly done a great deal toward help
ing me and if my saying so will in any way help my friends
to decide to give him a trial I shall be more than glad to give
my testimonial I am glad to know that so many are calling
on him and am sure that there are none who will regret hav
ing mads his acquaintance either socially or professionally

Mr John FiferNo 1600 Washington street a gentleman
well known in this city and whose many friends have known
of his having so much trouble with his eyes and which has
greatly retarded his work etc expresses his gratitude for
what is being done for him and the improvements that have
already taken place in his general condition
LINCOLN Neb Feb 17 1900 Dr W I Seymour City
Dear Sir I am indeed grateful for the great assistance ren
dered me by yourself and Dr Cox It was impossible for me
to read in the evening and I have made several unsuccessful
attempts to be fitted with proper glasses My means being
limited I did not feel it possible to undertake such an expen
sive treatment and I fear that I should have lost my sight
entirely had it not been for the skill and generosity of these
justly noted specialists who have made it possible for me to
secure their valuable services at a very moderate price I am
very much improved and for the first time in many months
have been able to read in the evening without tiring my eyes
Yours most respectfully JOHN F1FER

The following letter which was written in Miss Youngs
own handwriting will appear in the near future in facsimile
together with the first letter written by her to Dr Seymour
when she was able to see for the first time in her life sufficiently
to use a pen This will be done that those who are interested
in this most remarkable case may see for themselves what
wonderful progress has been made in the two years use of
her glasses
LINCOLN Neb Jan 31 1900 Dr Seymour Dear Sir
I am among the many who have become indebted to you since
your first visit to this city and wish to thank you for your
services My glasses upon which you spent so much of your
valuable time have never ceased to be a benefit and a great
blessing to me Yours very gratefully LIZZIE YOUNG

The following very complimentary statement comes from
Mrs S A North No 827 H street
Yes Drs Seymour and Cox are treating me Dr Seymour
has made new glasses for me and Dr Cox has been treating
my ears I have now been treating with them for two
and am perfectly happy over the wonderful CLat
has been made in my hearing Before I could not hpar ordi
nary conversation in the room at all although whea anyoue
stood close to me I could hear them After my sond treat
ment Dr Cox asked me if I noticed any difference and I was
perfectly amazed as I could hear every word he said -very
distinctly although he was not speaking in an unusual voice
I thought last night when I went home I would watch myself
and found that I could hear the clock ticking and also the
conversation of those in the room something most remark
able to me as my case is of twenty years standing I might
add that I simply consulted the doctors to ease my own con
science as I had heard so much of their skill but at the same
time I had no faith in the fact that they could help me I am
extremely grateful for this marvelous improvement and I
only hope that my friends and acquaintances who knew of my
affliction will embrace this opportunity of consulting such suc
cessful specialists if troubled with either defective sight or

CROSS EYES STRAIGHTENED WITHOUT AN OPERATION
It is not frequent that grown people can receive the benefit
that a child can but the following very interesting case is
certainly worth reading and those wishing to investigate the
matter for themselves will find the young lady in question at
1446 Q street Miss Haas came to me two years ago to learn
what I could do for ier Besides being blind in her right eye
which had been a condition since birth the eyes were quite
badly crossed The treatment of this case was undertaken and
after scientific adjustment of lenses her letter will best tell
the results and express her feelings in the matter After two
years it can safely be said that her eyes have been straight
ened and the sight of the good eye very much improved as
any one who will call on her can readily see
LINCOLN Neb Jan 31 1900 Dear Mr Seymour The
glasses you made for me two years ago have proved the great
est blessing that ever came into my life It was bad enough
to be blind in one eye besides being cross eyed but the
thought of possibly losing the good eye worried me very much
when I first came to you for help I am delighted to say that
my one eye is very much stronger today than ever before and
money would not induce me to part with my glasses or go to
any cne but you should I have further trouble with my eye or
be so unfortunate as to lose my glasses I broke the bows not
long ago and could scarcely wait until they could be repaired
my eyes were so uncomfortable when I was obliged to go back
to the old condition
I thank you a thousand times for what you have done for
me and shall be very glad to answer any inquiries in regard
to my eyes Yours sincerely MISS LIZZIE HAAS

Dear Doctor It is possible that my friends and acquain
tances will think I am unduly enthusiastic over your
work but I wish to thank you again for what you have done
for me personally during your present visit Having such un
bounded faith in your ability from the fact of your having
straightened our little daughters eyes with glasses and feel
ing that my own were in such a deplorable condition al
though I have consulted several specialists in this city since
you were hers last I have anxiously awaited your coming and
now say that I am more than repaid in waiting for you as
the glasses you have made me are a source of great comfort
and relief The doctors in Lincoln have told me that it was
impossible for them to fit my eyes but have proven to the
contrary as you seemed to know exactly what to do the first
time you looked at them Thanking you again for what you
have done for myself and little daughter I remain your sin
