gard to his eyes which were poisoned
in some unknown way He received

C H Cornell and G H Hornby re
signed from the Board of Health a
couple of weeks aro on account of in
tending to be absent from town for
some time and the town board this
week appointed Dr Compton and T
C Hornby to fill the vacancies
M M Allen was happily surprised
last Tuesday by his many old neigh
bors and friends the gathering being
in honor of his 44th birthday M M
was the recipient of a handsome easy
chair after which the guests partook
of ah elaborate dinner prepared by

Milt Latta the noted well man re
turned from Washington D C last
week where he had been in the inter
est of a patent on his Lightning Air
Machine in which he was successful
He is now selling state and county
rights which he says are going like

Chas LaRiie returned to his ranch
south of Norden last week Chas

cal parties who are thinking of leav
ing had better stay where they are

living by his industry and good man
agment and has saved enough to live
comfortably in his declining years
