The following described school lands in Cherry
coimtv will bo olfered for lease at public auction
at Valentine at the County Treasurers Ofllce on
September 18 1900 beginning t 9 a in and
continuing until all of said lands have been
offered
Theselaods may be leased at an annual rental
of six per cent of the valuation shown below by
the first person offering to take tbo same when
they are called for lease ac the auction unless a
premium Is offered In which case the lease con
tract will be awarded to the person paying the
greatest amount of bonus therefor Failing to
receive a bid of six per cent upon eaid appraised
yalue of any of these lands thpy may be leased
to the person who will pay six per cent upon the
highest valuation as provided in Sec 15 of the
new school land law

The hail on the first of this month
did considerable damage to the crops
in this part of the country Gardens

J M Stears and wife of Arkansas
and N B Leamar of Maryville Mo
who have been visiting the Hudson
families since the 5th of July left for
home last week Mr and Mrs Stears
go to California for a short stay before
returning home
Uncle Pole is safe at home and feel
ing good so says his letter received

The Sunday School picnic held by
the Union Sunday school people Sept
9 was all that could be looked for A
good time a large turnout plenty to
eat and a fine day Mr Moss was the
speaker and is a good talker
Norden gives 350 in premiums on
articles exhibited at the fair this fall
