James Skirving of Brownlee an
old time Democrat was a delegate to
the County convention Saturday
Judge Tucker and Col Towle went
up to Crawford Sunday to talk to the
people of war times at the Reunion
Ice cream was a scarcity in Valen
tine on the 3rd of July and as the
day was warm we noticed the lack of

of Crookston was helping to mould

Mr Bradford a day school teacher
of Rosebudhas been appointed super
intendent of the boarding school at
Leach Lake Minn
Wednesday evening the Industrial
school on the Agency delivered a pro
gram which was well carried out as
closing exercises of the term
Dick Zelian and wife came back to
Valentine to spend a months vaca
tion from work at the Agency - Mr
Zelian has been reemployed
U OBrien came in Tuesday morn
ing from Hot Springs much improved
in health and speaks of the wonder
