TheValentine Dairy Association
The stockholders in the skimming
station met one week ago today and
formed themselves into a corporation
to be known as the Valentine Dairy
Association the business of which
snail be as the articles of incorpora
tion cites The manufacture of and
dealing in dairy products
The authorized capital is 2100 in
shares of 50 each non assessable
Forty one shares are now taken

of next week and expects to have
things in business order about the
15th of April
This will undoubtedly be a good
thing for Valentine as it has proved
a success every place where one has
been established
At the Hemingford station last
summer 4000 was paid out monthly
and at the present time about 27000
pounds is taken in dailv
In answer to several letters of in
quiry sent out by C H Cornell in
reference to skimming stations only
one reply was received that was in
any way derogatory
It is the usual thing we understand
to open up the new stations with a
grand celebration and Valentine will
prove no exception to the rule as C
H Cornell was appointed a committee
of one to arrange for an opening pro
gram

Cattle Thief Sentenced

Wm Ferry a young man working
at Sweeney Bros5 ranch near Pull
man met with an accident last Mon
day evening resulting in the loss of
three fingers on his right hand He
was on horseback and attempted to
lasso a wild horse when the horse he
was riding began to pitch The rope
was fastened to the saddle horn and
in some way his hand was caught in
the rope and the finders were almost
completely severed from the hand

and drove down to the ranch Monday
night and amputated the second
