A lengthy petition praying to have
the Woodson bridge moved is being
considered by the commissioners and

A. M. Birchard , of Nenzel , who has
about 65 purebred Durhams on his
ranch , was in the city yesterday. So

E. J. Davenport built a new 12-foot
sidewalk on the south side of his store
building this week. This is an exam
ple which should be followed by other
business men , and that right speedily
if damage suits are not to result.
Thursday evening the Odd Fellows
installed Ed Clarke as Noble Grand
and H. Zeilian as vice grand of their
lodge , E. J. Davenport acting as in
stalling . officer. The. ceremony was
followed by supper at the Valentine
house.

were in town from Chesterfield Sat
urday completing their land deal , and
Ira informed us that he will move to
ock county this week. He will not
move his cattle , however until after
haying.
Pete DeCory has returned from his
trip ] to Iowa with a car of horses , and
will go next week with two more car
loads. He says he realized almost -50
per cent more for his stock than he
expected. : We have all along said
that horses were good property and.
we are pleased to note this good sale.
