Notice is hereby given to the oualified elector
ot Cheiry county m the state ol Nebraska that
an election will oe held In the various precincts
of said cherry county on the 8th day of Novem
ber 189 for the purpose of voting upon the fol
lowing proposition to wit
Sluill the county board of Cherry county in
the state of Nebraska issue the coupon bonds ot
said county in the sum of 12000 of the denomi
nation of SljOOO each lor the purpos of building
and furnishing a court house said bonds to take
effect January 1 1899 and bearing interest at the
rate of five per ceiit per annum payable semi
annually on the first days ot July aud January in
each year until the principal aud interest there
on has been fully paid the riucipil aud inter
est thereof being pajabio at the office of the
county tiea iiuer of said county
Proviiedl hat the county board of said county
1 may at its option pay olf any or all of said bonds
at any tune alter the expiration or ten years
from Hie date ot their taking effect
And shall the county board of Cherry county
aforesaid annually levy upon the taxable prop
erty ot Chei ry county a tax sufficient to pay tho
interest aud principal of said bonds as they be
come due and shall the said county board at
the last annual tax levy provided by law pre
ceding the maturity ot said bonds levy upon the
taxable property of said couniy a tax sufficient
to pay the interest and principal not otherwise
provided for and then unpaid upon tuid bonds
And shall said conuty board negotiate said
bonds at not less than their par value the
amount realized from the sale of said bonds to
be used m the building and furnishing a county
court house tor the use olTsaid oherry county
The ballots used in voting upon said proposi
tion shall have printed thereon
