Butte has started a -new paper at
Lynch placing A C McFarland in
charge thereof while he still looks af
ter the Butte Gazette The new paper
is said to sail undei the name of
Lynch Journal and it will undoubted
ly catch many legal plu ms This new
venture gives Peggy Sanders who
runs a pop paper in that locality a bad
case of blues and he is now kicking
the last legislature which repealed the
legal newspaper law
Mrs Henry Murphy expects to leave
tomorrow morning for her new ranch
home in Cherry county She will go
by the way of Crawford to Senaca
which is twenty five or thirty miles
from the ranch

found that the real estate valuation of
Crawford for this year was 95832
while the real estate valuation of Chad
ron for the same year was only 87218
By referring to the record of 1894 it
was found that the real estate valua
tion at that time of Chadron was 314
133 and that of Crawford for said year
94323 showing an increase in valua
tion of Crawford real estate between
the years 1894 and 1897 of and
a decrease in the valuation of Chadron
real estate for the same period of 226
