the rostrum bearing on the front

and beautiful flowers were banked
around the piano and the small stand
holding the diplomas and the air was
surcharged with the subtile perfume
shed by the sweet specimens of na
tures handiwork
At 815 Mrs Jas Wellford com-
menced the march King Cotton and
to its strains those who had places on

how isolation effects even the language
of a people Frank talked from a
socialistic standpoint and his oration
was delivered in a splendid manner
E Mae Davenport had the place of
honor and took the position that
Ambition Sightly Directly Leads to
Honor She handled her subject with
a skill which might be envied by fin
ished orators her comparison of Napo
leon and Washington the two best
types of ambition one the other
rightly directed being especially good
A piano solo Love Light Waltz

from parties living near the lakes
south of town to the effect that Johns
town Ainsworth and Longpine parties
have been fishing on the lakes with

but is a very reprehensible practice
and if continued our lakes will soon
be robbed of their hosts of finny beau
ties All who have been using seines
will hereby take notice that the offense
must not be repeated as Cherry coun
ty citizens are instructed to learn the
names and residence of all violators of
the law and report same to the author
ities here when steps will be taken to
punish the offenders
