THE TIN WEDDING
Respectfully -dedicated to Mr and McsBarnard
Once more thf summons round hath come
Fiom two who m th past did mate
Ten years ago they pledged their vows
Willis and his lair bride Kate
Ten years of 1 ife a tiny space
Kor mortals on the fat ream of life
May all who pass it by in truth
Reap blessings from its troubled strife
Isot long it seems no but a span
Planed in the long lomc bridge of FatP
Since Katie said I take thee AVillib
An echo of I take thee Kate
And now from oer a happy past
Ten bi ightened ravs are shedding
Their silvery sheen upon us all
At Will and Katies wedding
Now here weve come from everywhere
To hear friend Willis sav
That in the future he will light
The lire without delay
Yes we have hustled straightway down
Tall and fleshy thick and thin
Fast down Sand Burr Avenue
Carrying loads of tint
Tin is piled up everywhere
In all the rooms around
AVhen we gaze upon in all
We wonder where twas found
Thats what omes friends just as sure
4 As taxes death or fate
To all who place their names upon
The matrimonial slate
Now with best wishes take our tin
With rays of good will shedding
And may you lotg remember all
Here at your bright tin wedding
And when youve reached old ages shoie
And lifes last anchor cast
We hope that Fate will let you gaze
Back on a happy past
The guests departed at 3 a m after
wishing their genial host and hostess
many happy returns of their anniver
sary
